Catania, Schachenmayr's 100% mercerised cotton yarn, has a wonderfully soft feel, is lightweight and features a gorgeous sheen. Thanks to the breathable quality of cotton, this yarn is ideally suited for knitting and crocheting stylish clothing and accessories, but of course it is also ideal to make baby and toddler toys and amigurumi. Catania is certified in accordance with the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 label, product class 1, meaning that it is free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use (including newborns). The yarn is made from 100% mercerized cotton and is washable up to 40°C. The recommended needle size is 2.50-3.50mm (gauge tension: 26 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10cm). One ball of Catania weighs 50 grams and holds approximately 125 meters of yarn.
